SuperHandy Passport Mobility Scooter

Since severely damaging my spine 30 years ago I have had many products to help me get around , self propelled wheelchair provided was useless it was great in supermarkets but outside straight into gutter , so I turned to battery powered. Chairs seemed vague on steering on a camber so I went to scooters before lithium batteries, some good, some not so, but I amassed a good knowledge of them & bought many over the years. I was never a fan of the standard plastic shrouded models which soon got scratched, split & broken preferring the skeletal open type . Then I saw SuperHandy, read the specs & thought with that battery it's got to be no use, how wrong could I be, it's fantastic, even powers up hills & over grass & rough ground, anywhere, of all the many scooters this is my favourite it's fabulous, I recommend to all

I just love this scooter! I took it to a Christian revival and it took me all over the venue all day on just over one battery. I'm 6'2" and weigh 260 pounds. Although it'll go over grass and gravel, it does best on smooth surfaces like blacktop and concrete. It also does a nice job on moderate grades. It gets bogged down on steep grades and going over tree roots. It's a one wheel drive on the right rear wheel. The hand brake also works on the right rear wheel and can be locked for a parking brake. It comes with two 2.0 amp-hour (88.8 watt-hour) 48 volt batteries each good for about 4 or 5 miles depending on your weight and the terrain. I got a third one and keep it in the storage basket just in case. The batteries only take 1.5 hours to charge also. I took it to Walmart yesterday and what a difference from those electric carts in the store ! Either you have to wait to even get one or they're broken down or have a dead battery because the last guy to use it didn't bother to plug it in. This scooter is also twice as fast as the store scooters. On smooth concrete at 3.7 MPH it even blows your hair back! The downside is the basket is smaller and the turning radius is slightly bigger. No matter, I just have my wife or kid push the regular store cart if we're getting alot of stuff. The scooter weighs 35 pounds and the heaviest part is the motor. It goes together and breaks down in two minutes or less and will fit in all but the smallest car trunks. At big airports this will be a life saver! You can drive to the end of the jet bridge and it'll be waiting for when you deplane. This scooter makes life much easier for persons like me with limited mobility. I got lots of looks and questions too.

This mobility scooter is perfect for my needs. I can't walk very far, having a scooter that is light enough that I can remove from my car or put it back in is very important. It's easy to put together and can be done in just a couple of minutes. I love this scooter!

I was a reluctant user regarding a personal scooter, but with chronic tendinitis in both ankles I had to do something. Finding and purchasing this scooter was the best decision ever. The use of this scooter has giving me back a level of freedom I haven�t had in over 7 months. It�s lightweight and easy to use. While vacationing in Palm Springs I was able to go shopping and my favorite, the casinos! The use of this scooter allows me to be included in outings while being able to follow the doctor�s orders of resting/not walking long distances.
